Crete during the German Occupation 1941-1945, a book by Yannis Skalidakis, to be presented at the Municipal Garden of Sitia, at 20:30, as part of the “Kornareia 2023” calendar of events.

The book Crete during the German Occupation 1941-1945 by Yannis Skalidakis will be presented by Dr. Aristomenis I. Syngelakis (Academic, Co-Secretary of the National Committee for the Recovery of World War II German Debts to Greece), Andonis Anipsitakis (former Region of Crete Councilor, Stegi VITSENTZOS KORNAROS Managing Committee member), and the writer, Yannis Skalidakis (History PhD., Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Lecturer at the Department of Political Science, University of Crete). The book presentation will be coordinated by Manolis Hatzinakis (former Member of the Hellenic Parliament for the constituency of Lassithi).

Musical interludes will be presented by Natassa Papadopoulou (voice) and Manolis Kanavakis (guitar) and excerpts from the book will be read by Eleftheria Papagiotaki, member of the Theatre of Sitia.
