The Pancretan Student Literature Contest will be held again this year, by Stegi Vitsentzos Kornaros, aiming at becoming an institution. During last year’s contest, which was run by the local Philologist Sophia Fousteri, more than 80 submissions came in. At the Award Ceremony, which was held at SVK’s premises, the award-winning students of each category (poetry and prose) were given their prizes as well as books, for themselves and for their schools. This school year, head of the organizing committee will be Katerina Goulielmou, a local teacher and a friend of Stegi. Details on this year’s contest subject, the judging committee and the contest dates will be announced soon.
