With Colours and Inspiration, for Vitsentzos Kornaros.

Girls from the 1^st and the 2^nd Middle Schools of Sitia, as well as from the Middle School of Palekastro will take part in a special art project, that is organised in the context of Vitsentzos Kornaros’ birthday festivities: they will add the colours of their liking to the Erotokritos-inspired pre-drawn sketches created by Maro Vasileiadou especially for the celebration. With paintbrushes at hand and smiles on their faces, the local girls participating in the event will be adding their own touch to Maro Vassiliadou’s works. This initiative is not merely considered as a visual arts activity, but as a celebration of art and history, as a way for the new generation to connect with the cultural heritage of their ancestors.
