The author and Joseph Kampanakis, former Crime Information Analyst of the Hellenic Police, will discuss about crime novels, organized crime, and espionage, focusing on the author’s research, documentaries, and his latest books Duel on Iera Odos and Short Spy Stories (Agra Editions).
Andreas Apostolidis, an author, director, and translator, has so far published 14 novels and short story collections, including The Ghost of the Metro, Lobotomy, Voodoo and A Coffin for Sofia, among others. He has translated over 80 novels (D. Hammett, R. Chandler, J. Ellroy, P. Highsmith, V. Nabokov, etc.) and has written numerous studies related to crime and crime literature (Antiquities Trafficking and the Trade of Antiquities, The Many Faces of the Crime Novel, The World of Giannis Maris, The Black Frame). His documentary work includes “Twice a Stranger”, “The Syndicate”, “War and Peace in the Balkans”, “A Place Without People” and his latest, the “Latin Noir” (Academy Award for Best Documentary 2022).
