This photographic series features portraits and stories of people with
burns who, with great courage, stand before the camera to assert their
presence in the pursuit of normalcy. It represents a personal triumph for
the subjects, aiming for social acceptance of their appearance and the
pursuit of a better life.

About Panos Zoulakis: Born in Athens with roots in Crete, Panos Zoulakis
specializes in portrait, dance photography, and nightscapes, holding a
Master’s degree in Lighting Design. He has earned significant distinctions
in top competitions, with his work published in numerous magazines. He
teaches photography at the Hellenic Photographic Society and is known for
his impactful personal projects that contribute socially through the art of
photography
