Opening of “Paramythia”, a painting exhibition by Dimitra Psichoyiou.

Stegi VITSENTZOS KORNAROS invites you to the opening of Dimitra Psichoyiou’s art exhibition, featuring fairy tale illustrations and paintings on assorted materials, which is to be held on the ground floor of Stegi VITSENTZOS KORNAROS (97, Vitsentzou Kornarou St, Sitia), at 7pm.
Dimitra Psichoyiou was born in Chalkida. She studied graphic arts and iconography, having been inspired by the well-known Greek artist George Kordis. She has illustrated several books and written/illustrated the following: The Gardener of Heavens, The Almond tree and the Moon, Together and A Gift from the Birds (all in Greek). She spent 13 years in Crete teaching art and in 2008 returned to Athens where she opened her workshop, Nadeen art. She has been painting fairy tale themes onto everyday items, such as shoes, jewelry, hats, ceramics, furniture, as well as on children’s bedroom walls, ever since.
