Anna Galanou, The lives of those across the street.

Dioptra Editions, Aerostato bookshop and Stegi VITSENTZOS KORNAROS invite you to the presentation of the latest book by the author Anna Galanou, titled: The lives of those across the street. The presentation will take place at the premises of Stegi (97, Vitsentzou Kornarou St, Sitia), on Monday 12 February 2023, at 18:30.
Six women and their stories, that have something in common; all six of them have been abused by the same man. Will they manage to see justice done?
Maria Vassilaki (philologist) and Nikoleta Spyridaki (psychologist MSC and therapist) will analyse the book, which emphatically proclaims: Break the silence! Out with the truth! – that being the first and most important step an abused woman should take in order to turn her life around.
Anna Galanou was born and raised at Peza, Heraklion, Crete. She took to writing at a young age and has worked on almost every genre of literature, having written novels, short stories, poems, children’s stories, fairy tales, plays, and essays. Many of her books, published by Dioptra Editions, have been awarded.
