The developments in the field of Molecular Biology are staggering and portend dramatic changes in our lives, while the questions that arise are crucial. Will the average life expectancy increase? How much will our lives change if there is a valid prediction of the diseases that will affect us? Can there be personalised treatments which will replace standard medications, reducing their side effects? And will all these possibilities of science and technology lead to a reduction or to an increase of the already extreme existing inequalities? The event, which is part of the “Kornareia 2023”, will be coordinated by Alexandros Kioupakis (Ph. D. in Biology). A debate will follow.
