Potamos Publications and Stegi VITSENTZOS KORNAROS invite you to the presentation of the book Solonos Street, by Niki Troullinou, on Wednesday, 7 May 2025, at 19:30, at Stegi VITSENTZOS KORNAOS (97, V. Kornarou St, Sitia). The author will discuss the book with Maria Giannakaki and Aliki Galanaki.
Solonos Street is not just an ordinary road in the centre of Athens. It is charged with history, ideas, and memories, linked as it is to the Law School, the Student Movement, and the first sparks of rebellion. NikiTroullinou’s book takes us back to those years of questioning and hope, where the voice of youth resonated loudly in the streets and squares. With direct and deeply moving language, the author illuminates faces, moments, and events that marked an entire era. In an atmosphere filled with literary sensitivity and reflection, she guides us through the stories of everyday people against the backdrop of a street that becomes a symbol of inquiry, change, and inner search.
Niki Koukounaki Troullinou was born in 1953 in Chania. She studied Law at the University of Athens during the years of the Junta. She has written numerous novels and short story books.
