Opening of Vassileia Anipsitaki’s Weaving and Calligraphy exhibition

Stegi VITSENTZOS KORNAROS invites you to the opening of the Weaving and Calligraphy exhibition of the Sitian artist Vassileia Anipsitaki, on Wednesday 22 November 2023, at 19:00, which will be held at its premises (97, Vitsentzou Kornarou St, Sitia).

To prepare the weft for her weaving, the artist uses natural materials and tints, made from tea and onion leaves as well as saffron, in order to dye natural sheep’s wool.

Her calligraphy works, done using pen nibs as well as reeds, include tribal art, Arabic writing-inspired Arabesques, various alphabetic symbols and many more.
