Stegi VITSENTZOS KORNAROS, having acquired part of the renowned Sitian photographer Yorgos Kritsotakis’ photo archive, as offered by his son Yannis Kritsotakis, is organising a relevant exhibition at its premises.
In order to enrich this photo exhibition, Stegi VITSENTZOS KORNAROS appeals to all who are in possession of old photographs of Sitia and its villages, to contact Stegi (tel.: 28430-22042) or the photographer Mr Dimitris Tiniakos or any member of the Managing Committee. All photos lent to Stegi for that purpose, will be promptly photographed and returned to the owners; if exhibited or used in any way, the names of the owners will be mentioned.
Stegi VITSENTZOS KORNAROS hopes that these photographs will awaken memories to the eldest, and provide useful knowledge to the youngest.
With the contribution of the people of Sitia, this photo exhibition will complement ideally the history of the area that has been written by the researcher Mr Eleftherios Perrotis, which will be published soon, sponsored by Stegi VITSENTZOS KORNAROS.
