The Gennadius Library of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens, in possession of the very rare first edition of Erotokritos, which was printed in 1713 in Venice, by Antonio Bortoli, honoured the founding of Stegi Vitsentzos Kornaros by granting it the right to upload and use the digital archive of the edition.
According to a handwritten note of Ioannis Gennadius (1844-1932), the copy in his possession was the only known one at the time, and it remained that way for many decades. Today, thanks to the Gennadius Library kind granting of the right to read and use, it is the only copy of the first edition of Erotokritos available to the public, through the Stegi Vitsentzos Kornaros webpage.
Stegi Vitsentzos Kornaros would like to thank the American School of Classical Studies at Athens, the Gennadius Library and Mrs. Maria Georgopoulou, for the honour and the trust they have shown Stegi.
